Customer is an Internet Ad Serving and Management company, which has a centralized Ad Server serving more than 600 million banner Ads/day across the world over the Internet.
Objective
The objective was to build a web based centralized enterprise reporting system, which caters to the Networks, Website owners and Advertisers.
Description
Tasks involved were building object-oriented libraries, reusable components to build the reports, designing and building the physical database schema for the reporting database. The required infrastructure for the web access of reports was in place. It consisted a set of Servlets and a thin client. The report users could schedule reports or get the reports on-demand. The reports could be saved in Excel and CSV formats. Reports could also be obtained as e-mail attachments.
Duration & Effort
A team of four persons was involved. Two persons exclusively worked on setting up the infrastructure and the environment. Two persons worked on the report development and the supporting database development. The entire project was completed in twenty-four weeks.
