Who will my employer be?
Your employer will be Generic-Haskell, Inc. You would be working on-site (at our client site) on our hourly or fixed cost on-site projects. Generic-Haskell will administer your H-1visa, payroll, and insurance (like medical and disability).

Does Generic-Haskell charge a fee from the consultant?
No, our service to the consultant is absolutely free.

When do I become Generic-Haskell's employee?
You will become an employee of Generic-Haskell on entering the US on the H1 visa.

Should I leave my current employment once my visa is approved or stamped?
No, the employee should not leave his/her current employment on H1 visa approval or stamping. The employee should leave his/her current employment only on being informed by Generic-Haskell to do so.

Generic-Haskell has clients all over the US. Due to the time gap between your application and you coming to the US we cannot give you any information about which particular client or which state you will be working in. Please be prepared to relocate to any state in the US.

Do I need a relieving order?
No, we do not require a relieving order from your employer.

Do I need to sign a financial bond?
No, you need not sign a financial bond.

Will I be paid a full salary in between contracts?
Yes. Please contact your local representative for details.

Can I change my employer?
Yes. However, you must realize that Generic-Haskell has made a significant investment up-front in your recruitment, VISA, and relocation fees. If you choose to leave Generic-Haskell before completing 12 months of work, you will be expected to reimburse us for such costs.

Is my job going to be maintenance or development?
Almost all our contracts are development work. We would never force you to accept any assignment that might under-utilize your skills.

What will monthly salary in dollars be?
Your monthly salary will depend upon a number of factors including your experience, qualification and our client in the USA.

Is my salary offered a pre- or post-tax figure?
The salary offer is usually a pre-tax figure. You are at liberty to be the best judge in deciding how you pay your taxes. We could help you arrive at a "take-home" salary figure to better understand your net income.

What are my taxes and other deductions?
Federal Tax , State Tax and other deductions like contributions to Social Security are deducted from your income. Typically 25%-30% of your wages is deducted towards taxes and social security. The tax structure varies from state to state.

When will I receive my salary every month?
Salary is divided into two paychecks paid twice a month.

When will my salary be reviewed and what is the raise I can expect?
The review period is mentioned in your employee agreement. The raise would depend on a variety of factors, the most important of them being your performance, your attitude in dealing with the company and the contract terms negotiated for your services with the clients.

What type of medical insurance is provided?
Generic-Haskell provides you with a comprehensive benefits package for you and your dependents.At this time, Generic-Haskell covers 100% of the medical insurance premium costs.It includes dental,vision,life insurance and disability (short term and long term) insurance.Please note that life insurance and disability insurance is available only for the employee.

Can my spouse and other dependents avail the medical insurance coverage?
Yes. But unfortunately, your parents are not considered your dependents for coverage under any health insurance policies in the US.

What is Generic-Haskell's sick leave policy?
All employees accumulate two weeks of paid time off (PTO) per each year of service. Sick leave is deducted from this PTO.

Does Generic-Haskell have a 401K (Retirement Savings) Plan?
No, not at this time, although we are reviewing it for next year.

What is the relocation assistance I will receive between projects?
Generic-Haskell will pay for your airfare to relocate to the new project site as well as initial hotel accommodation for one week. Generic-Haskell may also provide additional relocation allowance at Generic-Haskell's discretion. Please speak to your local representative for further assistance.

Am I provided accommodation?
We attempt to provide initial accommodation in the company's guesthouse in Fremont, California. This is a shared accomadation provided for the employee's benefit. We encourage you to bring your dependents after you have made your living arrangements in the vicinity of your project site.

Will Generic-Haskell provide me with a loan to buy a car?
No,Generic-Haskell does not provide any loans for any purchases. However, there are many banks through which you may finance your loans. Generic-Haskell representatives will attempt to orient you with the loan process in the US.

Yes,the reimbursed amount is subject to the company policies. You will be required to obtain prior written approval from Generic-Haskell.

Yes.Generic-Haskell does have an employee referral plan. Please contact your local representative for further details.

Can I visit my home country in between assignments?
Yes. Two weeks of paid vacation is provided after completing each year of project assignment.You will have to intimate Generic-Haskell well in advance to make such arrangements.

What is the savings potential?
Savings are entirely dependent on you. The basic necessities in the US are relatively a small percentage of your salary.

Can I bring 100 % of my salary back to my home country?
Yes, you can after taxes.
